What can Filter Tech offer?

Whether we design our modules to fit your building or you design your building to fit our modules, Filter Tech Systems is the perfect fit for your project.

AquaFloc

AquaFloc Package Treatment plants.

Package Treatment Plants for Surface Water, Tertiary Treatment and Re-Use Applications.

They are all fabricated of 5086 marine-grade aluminum, made in the USA, and based on over 35 years of experience.

The AquaFloc Modular, Conventional Treatment Plants are reliable units proven to be effective at treating incoming water well over 500 NTU while still delivering a treated water effluent of less than 0.015 NTU. The modules are available in sizes from 20 GPM to 1 MGD. The process steps of flocculation, sedimentation and filtration are incorporated into a single module and delivered at a reasonable cost.

Leading up to the treatment module system is the AquaMix in-line mechanical flash mixer to ensure that the coagulation process is energized to kick-start the process. All of the following steps depend on good mixing. The flocculation step is then enhanced with our proprietary line of vertical, paddle mixers designed to impart varying “G” values in several different basins.

AquaClear

The AquaClear process combines either hydraulic or mechanical flocculation with granular media filtration in a single unit. This is an efficient, economical unit to use where regulatory agencies have mandated the use of chemical coagulation and flocculation, but where full treatment is unnecessary. This unit also provides good detention time and mixing for Phosphorous Removal in clear waste water effluents.

AquaPrima

The AquaPrima module provides the first steps of coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation and delivers clarified water to the filtration process. This is an excellent pre-treatment module for our UltraFlex Hollow-Fiber Ultrafiltration System or other filtration process. Good pre-treatment can significantly impact both the capital costs and operating costs of filtration.

AquaTech Gravity Filters

AquaTech units are typically used for ground waters determined to be under the influence of surface water. This unit can be used in conjunction with an oxidation process for the removal of iron, manganese, radium and arsenic.

They have been proven to provide 4-log removal on some surface water sources. They have also been used successfully for pre-treatment of bag filters where a coagulant is necessary to reduce turbidity.

AquaTech Gravity Filters and AquaSand Pressure Filters are a versatile line of filters for many groundwater applications. These filters can be configured with myriad filter media for special applications such as iron & manganese removal, arsenic removal or just plant particulate removal. An excellent choice for pumped-water application. The AquaTech gravity filters can provide treatment prior to booster pump situations.

Filter Tech Systems has many of their AquaTech Auto Backwash Filters installed in Fish Hatcheries throughout the country. AutoBackwash filters do not require an external backwash supply thereby eliminating pumps and storage tanks. Our unique AutoBackwash technology can be applied to both gravity and pressure applications.

UltraFlex Hollow Fiber UltraFiltration Systems

Hollow-Fiber Membrane Filtration for drinking water and re-use applications

FilterTech Systems UltraFlex Hollow Fiber UltraFiltration Systems are built around Pentair X-Flow membranes – the world-wide leader in market share and installed membrane base. Currently the Pentair X-Flow membranes are used in 6 of the top 10 largest membrane plants in the world.

X-Flow membranes are manufactured from PES (poly ethyl sulphone) which provides better pore distribution and pore size conformity.X-Flow’s PES membranes are highly chemical resistant and chlorine tolerant.

X-Flow membranes contain the UFCM5-LE Low Energy fiber proven (through piloting and operation) to operate at lower TransMembrane Pressures than our competitor’s PVDF membranes even at higher flux rates. The PES membrane is a highly permeable, hydrophilic membrane.

XThe X-Flow Hollow Fiber membrane utilizes the inside-out flow pattern for better solids handling. The inside-out configuration provides a defined hydraulic path for solids removal. Filter Tech Systems UltraFlex Hollow Fiber UltraFiltraiton System is Made in the USA and based around the X-Flow product line. Filter Tech Systems has been working with X-Flow for over ten years to develop our proven product line.

UltraFlex 55

Utilizes the Pentair X-Flow AquaFlex 55 membrane module. Each module has over 10,000 individual, well-packed fibers and can operate at a flux rate of up to 70 GFD (gallon per square foot per day). This membrane is NSF-61 certified, has successfully completed the EPA Protocol for Equipment Verification Testing (EVT) for physical removal of microbiological and particulate contaminants and approved by the State of California for 4-log giardia, cryptosporidium AND Virus removal.

UltraFlex 64P

Utilizes the Pentair X-Flow AquaFlex64 sixty-four m2 module - 689 square feet of filtration area contained on over 15,000 fibers densely packed into a single 8” diameter x 60” long standard module. This membrane is NSF-61 certified and can be used for water reuse projects, ground water remediation and phosphorous removal projects.

UltraFlex COR

A highly innovative, unique membrane system combining the removal technologies of spiral wound nano-filtration with hollow fiber technology. The UltraFlex COR Color Removal process can reduce color and organics in water. Bench-Scale pilot testing is available to demonstrate TOC removal.
